When Social Entrepreneurship in Africa rhymes with Fashion, it's KEZA.

When one talks about Africa, one could imagine poverty, health problems or wars. Needless to say that talking about fashion jewelry would be unnecessary. However it is here the way-out chosen by KEZA to alleviate poverty in Rwanda (Central Africa). KEZA which means ?Beautiful? was born four years ago with several values and ideas:

- Create locally owned businesses that provided women with an income, and therefore with dignity;

- Create high-quality products and a preferred brand;

- To do it all so well that it attracted outside investors to do even more business in Africa.

KEZA is now exporting jewelry all around the world to rich consumers. Strongly backed by an international team of fashion experts, Keza takes advantage of the stability of this expanding market.

Needless to say that the barriers were numerous and the goodwill of investors, business developer and employees were needed to enable the growth of the project. But now Keza gives a face to a successful Social Entreprise. Indeed results are here, women working for KEZA earns about 200/300$ per month (compared to average 17$ per month in Rwanda) and it leads to a conclusion, here is the brillant example of a clever redistribution of profits between north and south and between a company and its employee.
